Madeira today under yellow warning due to wind and tomorrow due to rain 1

Seven districts of mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning from midnight due to maritime unrest, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

The districts under warning, due to waves from the northwest of four to 4.5 meters, are Porto, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga. The alert ends at 3pm on Monday.

The Madeira archipelago is also under yellow warning, due to the wind and, from 06:00 on Monday, also due to precipitation, with this alert extending until 21:00 on that same day.

This Sunday’s headline, on the eve of the ‘Festival’, is worthy of reflection, at least for those who carry steering wheels in their hands.  97% of drivers tested reported excessive alcohol consumption, we mentioned. And we add: “In the first 10 months of the year, the PSP caught more than 12 thousand on the road using the ‘balloon’. Operations inspected an average of 362 vehicles per day.”
