“Nothing changes and we’ve wasted money’ was the lament from one party leader after the election results show an almost majority victory of the PSD with 62,000 votes, 13,000 more than May last year.  The only other ‘winner’ was the Juntos Pelo Povo who saw their popularity rise.

Parties such as PAN saw their hopes dashed as their previously elected member failed to be re-elected, while the PS, Chega and BE saw their popularity decline in front of their eyes.

For those who wanted change, these elections failed to deliver that promise.
